As part of the Facility Master Plan, Barr & Barr was chosen to perform CM services from design through occupancy for William W. Backus Hospital’s “Core Projects.”

Key pieces of the project scope were:

• C+ Addition - 16,000 gsf 2-story addition and backfill renovation (an additional 18,000 nsf) for expansion
  of Emergency Department and Same Day Surgery.
• New Telemetry Units - Two floors of renovation of inpatient telemetry units. This project requires the
  relocations of 13,000 nsf of program from one floor and the full “gut” renovation of the other floor.
• New Inpatient Elevators - The “insertion” of two new, high-speed elevators into an existing 5-story building
  and requisite moves/relocations it displaces.
