The project scope at the New England Conservatory of
Music (NECM) included work at three campus buildings.
Complete renovations at historic 290 Huntington Avenue
included new HVAC, millwork trim, casework, removal
of existing carpet and restoration of original wood floors,
and renovations of rehearsal studios and the presidential
office.
At 295 Huntington Avenue, site work included a
complete refinishing of public spaces, including restroom
renovations, corridors and main lobby renovations, which
consisted of new walls, ceilings, millwork, entrances, and
refinishing of the existing terrazzo floor. At the 241 Saint
Botolph Street site, unused office space was fitted out to
include student affairs offices, rehearsal studios and administrative offices.
Working closely with the architect, project scope was
developed to minimize the effect of the projects on the
NECM campus. Phased work was planed around concerts
and recording sessions at Jordan Hall and other student
activities. |
