Harvard Vanguard’s Diagnostic Technology Center project included the renovation and fit-up of approximately 13,000 s.f. Originally a parking garage, the building was upgraded mechanically to support an MRI Room and CAT Scans and included mechanical upgrades to the existing base building systems.
Obstacles included: dealing with tight mechanical coordination above ceiling to accommodate high ceilings, coordination for the MRI (magnet delivery) before the MRI showed up (MRI supplied by GE Medical Systems), an aggressive three month construction schedule and a significant amount of Value Engineering to accommodate HVMA’s budget range.
