The Mariners’ House is one of the oldest and most beautiful
historical sites in Boston’s North End. The building was
originally built in 1847 to accommodate seafarers from all
over the world when docked in Boston.
The renovation of the five-story building included a historical
restoration of the exterior façade and complete demolition
of all interior spaces while preserving all historical finishes.
The project also included the installation of a new elevator,
substan-tial structural upgrades, and the development of a
new kitchen / dining space, library, chapel and hotel level
rooms on the upper four floors.
The logistical constraints of completing this distinguished
landmark were well planned and implemented to avoid local
inconveniences. |
