John Erdos and Byron Jeong co-founded
Jamson Whyte in 1996. They have been traveling throughout
Asia
for the past ten years collecting furniture and artifacts. In addition
to Jamson Whyte, they also operate the
John Erdos Gallery in Singapore, which Erdos established
in 1992.
One-of-a-kind
Furniture and Artifacts
The owners travel throughout Asia in search of unique pieces of furniture
and artifacts. Most of the furniture
is found on the many islands of Indonesia. It is refinished in our own
workshop where our craftsmen have
learned their trade from previous generations. Each piece that is selected
has its own individual character-
istics that make it truly unique.
The Jamson Whyte Collection
Byron Jeong and John Erdos, co-owners of Jamson Whyte,
have designed their own collection of furniture
using mostly reclaimed teak and other locally available resources such
as bamboo and rattan. Each Piece
has been inspired from pieces in their own private collection, from items
they have seen in their travels or
from classic Dutch colonial design. The collection is hand crafted in
their workshop in central Java.
Custom Work
Jamson Whyte has worked with corporate clients (such as hotels and restaurants),
interior designers and
individuals on designing furniture to meet specific needs. Contact us
at mail@jamsonwhyte.com to inquire
on project work or if you are looking to produce you own one-of-a-kind
piece.
